You're warmly invited to the second annual Bowls and Spoons Harvest Feast!

Come share a beautiful evening of food, community, and connection as we gather around tables stretching down Chicago Avenue between 37th and 38th Streets in George Floyd Square.

This sacred meal will be served in handmade bowls with hand-forged spoons, filled with delicious food grown in our local community gardens and prepared with love by our neighbors. This will be an evening of nourishment, reflection, creativity, and togetherness.

A Day of Community Celebration

We’ll begin the day with our very last 38th+CHI Market, followed by an afternoon of art, play, movement, music, and community activities before gathering together for the Harvest Feast.

38th+CHI Market

Join us for the very last 38th+CHI Market and spend the morning connecting with neighbors, artists, makers, and community.

2 PM

Music playlist and activities begin, including:

• Art making
• Mending station
• Seed art
• Games station
• Roller skating
• Double Dutch
• Writing workshop at Bichota Coffee or Agape with Marquise Bowie
• Art exhibit at Plot Gallery

3 PM

DJ and line dancing lessons with Mileesha Smith

Welcome and opening announcements

4:30 PM

Blessing of the meal and sound healing with Tamiko French. We’ll take a moment to pause, reflect, and prepare for the meal and gathering together.

5 PM

Harvest Feast

We’ll gather around the tables and share a nourishing meal made with food grown in our community gardens and prepared with care in the kitchens at City Foods Studio.

5:30–5:45 PM

6:30 PM

Closing celebration at PLOT Gallery with Seitu Jones

7–9 PM

Evening celebration

The evening continues with a live DJ from KRSM Radio, roller skating, Double Dutch, and more line dancing with Mileesha Smith.

Come as you are. Bring your open heart. Make something, move your body, share a meal, listen, dance, reflect, and be part of this joyful celebration of community and care.

Handmade Bowls & Spoons

Handmade bowls and hand-forged spoons will be available for purchase for $20 each or $30 for a set. Proceeds will go toward next year’s Bowls & Spoons Harvest Feast.
