Open (Hot)House Volunteering

Registration

  • During your shift you will be serving beverages at our bar are in the main shop. You're shift is from 6:15-9pm.
  • Your job will be to manage a community art making activity. A stamping station, recycled jewelry making or a wire wrapping make and take. Your shift will be from 6-9pm.
  • Your job will be to welcome folks, give them a sticker (save those sticker sheets so we can gauge how many folks came), and pass out the itinerary. Your shift will be from 6:15-9PM
  • Your job will be to make sure all the food and beverages are all stocked up, check on the other volunteers and greet as needed. Your shift is from 6:15-9pm
  • Your job will be to assist Jhyle in the gallery.
  • Your job will be to help us tidy up the shop and gallery and get ready for the party! Stay for the FUN! Your shift will be from 2-6pm

Our Fall Open(Hot) House will be on Wednesday, September 16th, 6:30-9pm featuring fire arts demos, hands-on art making, recent student work on display, and an exhibit featuring the work Samael Leopold-Sullivan title "A Cage so Light [You Hardly Feel It] will be up in the gallery.

Starting at 6:30 p.m., we’ll have arts demos and hands-on activities, along with refreshments, "A Cage so Light [You Hardly Feel It] for viewing in the gallery and recent student work on display. We will have Insphyre here for a fiery performance, music, and maybe even a Raku firing from Mudluks Mudbus. 

In order to make this event run smoothly we need your support! 

We need:

  • 3 Set up assistants to help with preparing the shop for the event and cleaning up from 2-6pm
  • 4 people to oversee a Make & Take activity(from 6-9pm), recycled jewelry making. We'll provide all the necessary supplies and instructions for participants.
  • 4 door greeters, to welcome visitors, hand out the itinerary and give out stickers from 6:15-9pm.
  • 1 food stocker/ floater volunteers, to assist as needed and make sure food and beverages stay stocked up.
  • 2 Bartenders to manage the beverage station/serve drinks to visitors from 6:15-9pm
  • 1 Gallery Assistant to assist Jhyle in the gallery from 6:15-9pm
