This class is an in-depth study of flamework (also known as lampworking) using a dual-fuel torch and Italian soft glass to create glass beads. You'll build a repertoire of techniques through hands-on practice, as you learn a variety of shaping techniques, glass manipulation, cane creation, and surface decoration. Creative combinations are limitless! We will have ample time in each class session to practice and hone new skills. Safety protocol, including proper tool and equipment use, will be covered. Wear long pants and closed-toe shoes.
