Explore your creative voice in this three-day workshop led by visiting teaching artist, Jeneba Koroma. The workshop centers on transforming simple metals into rich, expressive works of art. You’ll design and construct small containers, lockets, or sculptural objects inspired by a story, song, topic, or theme of personal significance. Through creative visualization and hands-on fabrication, you'll learn techniques to make meaningful jewelry pieces that tell a story.

Jeneba Koroma is an accomplished artist, designer and educator. Growing up in West and South Africa as well as the United States, she was immersed in rich cultural traditions and diverse experiences that shaped her worldview. Her childhood memories of vibrant South African puppet theater, bustling West African market bazaars, and captivating cultural masquerade dances continue to inspire her artistic journey. This deep passion for arts and culture informs her designs, allowing her to create jewelry that honors heritage while celebrating individual authenticity.
