Make a decorative and functional egg spoon* out of steel. You’ll learn both hot and cold sheet forming techniques to make the dish of the egg spoon, continuing on learning blacksmithing techniques to form the handle. Explore your creative vision in the process of making a unique project and leave with a completed egg spoon to enjoy yourself or give as a holiday gift.

This class is for both beginning and continuing level blacksmiths. All materials and tools are provided though if you’d like to bring your own tools, we recommend calipers, center punch, cross peen and rounded peen forging hammer, angle grinder with cutoff and sanding discs, cordless drill with 3/16 and 1/8 bits.  |  $150 ($120 tuition + $30 materials)

*The name is a bit misleading: the egg spoon you’ll make is really a small pan with a long handle, ideal for cooking an egg over a fire or gas burner. No controversy required.
